How to log sets without typing

The fewer taps between sets, the more likely you are to log every one of them. Here are three ways to log a set without touching the keyboard, from the fastest to the most hands-free.

Set up Siri and the Action Button

  1. 1

    Say it to Siri

With your AirPods in, say “Hey Siri, log a set in Repvoice” and then say the set. The phone can stay in your bag.

  2. 2

    Open the Shortcuts app

Repvoice's log-a-set action shows up in Shortcuts on its own. Add it to a shortcut if you want a custom phrase.

  3. 3

Put it on the Action Button

On an iPhone with an Action Button, go to Settings → Action Button, choose Shortcut and pick the Repvoice action. Now one press starts a voice log.

In the app: hold anywhere and talk

With Repvoice open, press and hold anywhere on the screen, say the set and let go. The rest timer starts on its own and keeps running on your Lock Screen with a Live Activity.

On Apple Watch: the Digital Crown

Log sets from your wrist by turning the Digital Crown to set reps and weight, rest with a haptic timer and see your next session in a complication. Workouts you track on Apple Watch are saved to the Health app. Watch sets are free.

Tips that save time

  • Say “same again” when you repeat a set.
  • Start from today's plan: the exercise is already loaded, so you only say the numbers.
  • Use one unit per gym: say kilos or pounds once and it sticks.
  • Check the read-back while you rest; undo is one tap.
